2002—Obtained 501(c)3 federal nonprofit status, spun off from Georgia Avenue Church

2008—first replicated food co-op, Initiative for Affordable Housing, Decatur, GA

2008—2
nd replicated co-op begun in Easton, MD, Presbyterian Church of Easton

2008—presentation of the food co-op model to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship at their Annual Conference; Memphis, TN

2009—3
rd replicated co-op begun, Decatur, GA, Decatur Cooperative Ministry

2009—meeting with the Executive Director of Philabundance, Philadelphia, PA and church groups interested in the food co-op model (February)

2009—Workshop at the Christian Community Development Association Annual Conference, Cincinnati, OH (October)

March 15, 2010—training session for organizations wanting to form food co-ops

April, 2010--launched Food Security for America to respond to and replicate food co-ops both locally and nationally

May 2010—launched food co-op for Walton Communities, for profit business with
low-income families
